Trying to display a photo in its original ration, even if needed to be cropped

I have my ASP.NET C# web app, in the top part i want to show their profile pic in a a square (1) ratio, i'm sure it's not supposed to be complicated and I've searched all over but i can't find anything.

I'm also pretty new to ASP.NET and C# programming and i found something about Drawing.Image, but i'm not familiar with it and not sure how to use it, hope you could give me a hint.. thanks!
