AngularJS - get image loading progress

i found some examples in this regard, but all of them point to a spinner icon which get replaced with an image after it gets loaded. I'm wondering how can i get loading progress of an image (example. in %) so user can have an idea loading time.

Any help on have could i write simpliest directive to get this?
