How to create a tiff file from a Mat file, in Matlab?

I have created a Mat file by picking largest pixel values of 10 different images. Now I want to create a image in Tiff format from the mat file. How to do it ? I need this image in the same geographic projection as the other 10 images I have used.

I will appreciate if someone make any suggestion in this regard.
