Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FAILED

I have a application in which images are loaded dynamically with <img> src has relative path. while loading I get this error in chrome console. Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FAILED

only above error is showing and image not loading. Note: chrome version is 41. If I open the src link in new tab it shows the image

anybody else came across such problem, any workaround available . Kindly help.
